Summertime

The semester has come to an end.

Posting weekly to this blog was definitely a fun way to get feedback and a strong motivation to write, and I want to thank anyone who has read, liked or commented on my posts. I will probably not continue posting to this blog–at least not consistently–but I do hope to keep writing; maybe some pieces will find their way on here.

Sunset

In the bright hues of sunset,

the promised potential of day wanes.

Momentarily blinded by beauty

until the regret of night settles in.

We didn’t make the choice,

We didn’t take the risk,

We didn’t seize the day.

The comfort of familiarity

fades. Risk is negligible without time.

 

 

We find this answer in the moonlight,

in the wisdom of the end.
